having an open audition for 2B in ST makes it even more important to get him out of the way (this is assuming that he had no chance of winning!) that way they don’t have to waste PT on him.

You have to imagine they are pretty sure at this point no one was taking him in trade, so why wait?

The minute I knew that he shouldnt have been a Met is when Ruben Tejada hit that game-winning double and Castillo was pinch-running for Thole. He scored, and looked defeated. Like he wasn’t happy he scored.

If its Castillo who goes, good riddance honestly. One good year smashed around two bad ones, and even his half-year after his trade wasn’t particularly amazing.
