This is therapy for him/her in a continued attempt to try and get over his/her inferiority complex.

Suffered too much trauma at the hand of the Mets. These comments just shows how deep his/her suffering is.

Your take on Thole is interesting. If your scenario came up I’d jump on it too but he is gonna be one of the more interesting players to watch this year so I’m cool with him.

It’s a good thing you mentioned Piazza’s batting average in the last 62 games of ’98 along with his OBP and Slug%. Bayonne would have flipped.

Grote and Stearns were gamers. If I had the chance to trade Thole and a prospect to upgrade I would. He seems like a starter on a low market team or a bcakup on a high market team.

I loved Grote and Stearns, two of my favorite Mets back then. One catcher I NEVER cared for was their backup Ron Hodges. I always felt when he started a game, that we should brace ourselves for a loss. I see a lot of Grote in Thole and he could end up catching him in games played if all breaks right for him. He may never have the power of a Carter or Piazza, or the speed of a Stearns, but he can still be productive with his ability to get on base and gap power.
