I'm only 31, so my memories don't go as far back as others.

Favorite moment: I should probably say the 1986 WS, but I was only 7 at the time and probably couldn't really appreciate it as much as older fans. I'm going to go with Endy's catch. I was there, in the left field mezzanine for it. Shea nearly collapsed when that play was done. I thought for sure we were going to the WS. As awful as I felt at the very end, that moment was awesome.

Favorite player: Turk Wendell. I know, I'm weird.

1st Shea memory: I grew up in the Bronx in the 80s, so I didn't get to go to Shea a lot because tickets were still a hot item and not too many of my friends and neighbors wanted to make the trek. My sister's husband at the time actually got some box seats for a game against the Giants from his boss. She takes me out there and I'm awed by the big neon lights shaped like players (as I said, it was the 80s and I was a kid. I had no idea what "tacky" meant). We even went through the Diamond Club. Ron Darling pitched a gem and the Mets were cruising along at 4 or 5 to nothing. I even almost got a foul ball. My sister walks over to where I was sitting in the box in the 6th inning and tells me "If the Giants don't score this inning we're going to go." No sooner was she back in her seat than Robby Thompson belts a solo shot. We still laugh about that one. Ronnie came out of the game a little while later to a standing ovation and I had a great time.

I wonder how many comments a post talking about a favorite Met or a favorite Met moment or a fans memory of the 1st time going to a Mets game on MMO would generate and more importantly I wonder who would comment?

It will be the Met's 50th season coming up this 2011. 50 years of Met Memories some bad ones but also some good ones. I unfortunately didn't start even watching MLB till 1985 for obvious reasons but ever since I been a Fan.

Favorite Met moment: Final out of 1986 W.S.

Favorite Met Player: Gooden (Though It was brief it was awesome to watch him at his best)

1ST time at Shea memory: Being awed at seeing Shea from the Grand Central prkwy for the 1st time and then bribing the guy at the player entrance to allow my then 7 month pregnant wife to use the bathroom.

That is something one never forgets.

Maniac showed me this site yesterday and it indeed is awesome watching how the artist captured the different stages of this piece until it was completed.

It would definitely make a nice desktop wallpaper at the least.
