Another Thing To Look Forward To This Spring

Here is a video that should warm you up and get you thinking about baseball again.

It’s a promo video from Sony Productions for the upcoming release of “MLB 11: The Show” which is due on store shelves on March 8th.

Those are some of the most amazing baseball game graphics I’ve ever seen, I can’t wait until my son is old enough to play games like this with me!

Hat tip to Mets Chronicles.

  • Wait, why is joe mauer on the cover again? Wasn’t he on last year’s game cover? That’s stupid.

  • So the highlite for the Mets fan this Spring will be a video game. You could not have been more critical of the new GM.

    • Dude, really?

It’s going to be a long long long season for some I see.

      • I guess the Mets are up there with God with you so a sense of humor is bannded! Oh well, your problem, nobody else’s.

        • 1st leave religion out of it.

2nd Had anything in your statement showed a hint of an attempt at humor then maybe you now claiming it was a joke would fly rather than you just trying to find an out for making such a statement.

          • As a matter of fact you are the joke North Jersey. End of subject. End of discussion.

            • Thank you.

            • can’t you guys not fight over anything ?

  • I LOVE THIS GAME! I’ve been an XBox guy, but I bought a PS3 two years ago just to be able to play MLB: The Show ’09. Seriously cannot wait. And the fact that it comes out in March makes dealing with a month Spring Training bareable.

  • Why is Mauer on the cover again? If anyone deserves to be on the cover, it should be the AL MVP & ALCS MVP, Josh Hamilton.

  • Love the Mets.

  • MLB THE SHOW imo has to be the best baseball game ever.

The game is the Madden of baseball games.

    • Notice there was no sign of Met anywhere on this trailer. I wonder why that might be?

      • Yea I am sure there is some deep meaning there like let’s see the teams they used other than the Angels made the playoffs last year?

Giants, Phillies, Yankees, Twins, Rangers, Angels,

What does it say that the Rays, Braves and Reds which made the playoffs weren’t used?

What does it say that the Red Sox weren’t used but rather the Angels?

To quote Jack “The Pumpkin King” Skellington “What does it mean, what does it mean??? What does it mean?”

        • I don’t know who the h… your friend Jack is, but it means the Mets get no respect. Just in case you didn’t get it.

          • LoL, to know Jack you have to have seen Tim Burton’s Twas the nightmare before Xmas in which he is the star of the movie.

Regarding the Mets not getting respect. Please…

I guess most of MLB was disrespected in that trailer other than those what six teams? :-)

  • Another cool thing about the 2011 MLB The Show is the PS3 controller.

  • Thanks for the video. It is weird they have Mauer again. Why couldn’t it be Oliver Perez or Castillo? LOL, Oh well, maybe K-Rod will be in the cover of Fight Night 2011. I love MLB The Show! Sadly but true, I actually look forward to this game release more than the hole 2011″ Mets season.
