Minaya Reportedly Talking To Alderson About Role in Organization
According to Drew Silva of HardballTalk (NBCSports), Omar Minaya is reportedly going to talk to Sandal Alderson about a role in the organization.
Omar Minaya reportedly has an offer on the table from the Diamondbacks about joining their organization.
Last month, Sandy Alderson told SNY’s Kevin Burkhardt during Terry Collins introductory press conference that he won’t rush Omar Minaya into making a decision because Omar is deciding whether or not he would feel comfortable with a role in the organization.
Omar Minaya (as you all know) was fired after the Mets posted a record of 79-83.
The way I look at it is this. Even though Omar Minaya wasn’t successful in winning a world series with the Mets, he could help the Mets in other ways like scouting and player evaluation. I think it will be a good thing.
