Amazin’ Mets Perks and Holiday Packs Are Pretty Sweet!

An article by posted on December 4, 2010

As part of my regular contributions to the site, I will also be posting regularly on some of the “off the field” stuff with regards to our beloved Mets. I’m talking about the business, marketing and promotional side of things. This could include anything ranging from a new addition to the Mets Museum, special Mets promotions and merchandise give-aways, and even baseball card show or promotional appearances by any of the players.

I will try to do a post like this every week, recapping all the latest events, promotions and announcements as I come across them. My goal is to keep Mets fans all caught up on the many cool and interesting things going on in Mets-land.

Amazin’ Mets Perks

By now you already know that the Mets have reduced ticket prices across the board about 15% on average for the 2011 season, but that’s only the beginning of some the great pitches the Mets are making to fans this offseason..

Last week, the Mets began delivering on those “Amazin’ Mets Perks” they promised for Season Ticket Holders who pay in full by December 15.

Check out all these Lucky Mets Fans who have been rewarded already!

  • Some of the perks include:

Not too shabby Mets Fans!

Holiday Three-Game Packs

I just got hold of this info yesterday, and I gotta tell you, it’s one of the most fan friendly ticket plans I have ever seen from the Mets.

In addition to the 40-Game and 15-Game Plans, fans can now build their own 3-Game Packs!

It’s completely customizable and you get to choose one game each from the “Premium,” “Classic” and “Value” game pricing designations, and the best part is they start as low as $60 dollars.

You even have a great choice of seating for each plan package and they include seating in the following categories: Caesars Club, Left Field Reserved, Promenade Box and Promenade Reserved.

For more information on this and all other ticket plans got to Mets.com or call them (718) 507-TIXX.

Mets Annual Coat Drive

The New York Mets announced they are hosting their annual Coat Drive in support of New York Cares on Wednesday, December 15 at Citi Field. The Mets and New York Cares will collect gently-used men’s, women’s and children’s coats at Hodges VIP, on the first base side of the ballpark, from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

GET A FREE PAIR OF TICKETS!

Fans donating coats will receive a voucher redeemable for one pair of tickets to a select Mets game in April 2011.

In addition, fans can show their voucher at the Mets Team Store at Citi Field to receive a 15% off regularly priced merchandise. Season Ticket Holders who donate coats can show their voucher and ID card to get 20% off regularly priced items. The discount will only be honored Wednesday, December 15.

Fans dropping off coats may park in Lot G on 126th Street between the Right Field Gate and Roosevelt Avenue.

Coats will be donated to the New York Cares Coat Drive, the city’s largest annual coat drive which has a goal of collecting 70,000 coats during December. For information about the New York Cares Coat Drive, please visit newyorkcares.org.

Let’s get into those attics, closets and storage chest and help out fellow needy New Yorkers this winter, and get some free tickets for your time and much needed coat donations.

Have an Amazin’ weekend and catch you again next week!
