The Mets jumped out to a 6-1 lead after 3 innings and then held on to win it, 6 to 5, with Manuel Alvarez picking up the 5 out save, saving it for Erik Turgeon, who got his first AA victory. Dylan Owen started and gave up 2 runs (1 earned) on 3 hits and 3 walks in 4.2 innings.

The Mets offense had 7 hits and 3 walks, while going 2 for 4 with RISP and leaving 4 on base. Jose Coronado (2), and Saloman Manriquez (2) had multi hit games, while Jordany Valdespin, Marshall Hubbard (0 for 3, run, BB, 2 Ks, .249), Eric Campbell and Brahiam Maldonado took 0-fers.

Scott Shaw started the opener of the doubleheader and allowed just an UER on a hit and 3 walks in 4 innings, he got a ND. Pedro P Martinez was in line for his first high A victory of his career, but Michael Powers allowed a run in the 6th to blow the win for Martinez. Powers ended up pitching 3 innings, and picked up his 2nd FSL victory.

The Mets offense had 8 hits and a 1/6 BB/K, while going 2 for 6 with RISP and leaving 3 on base. Pedro Zapata (3) and Rafael Fernandez had multi hit games, while Stefan Welch, Joey August (0 for 3, K, .259), Ryan Mollica (0 for 3, .291), and Mike Moras (0 for 3, K, .179) took 0-fers.

Stefan Welch had an outstanding game with 3 hits, including 2 triples, while Kai Gronauer and Francisco Pena both took 0-fers.
