Mets Promote Luis Hernandez, Send Down Jesus Feliciano
The Mets have called up infielder Luis Hernandez from Buffalo and optioned outfielder Jesus Feliciano to the Bisons.
Hernandez will be available for tonight’s game and will wear uniform number 3. He has appeared in 47 games for the Bisons and was hitting .280 with 25 runs scored, 10 doubles, four triples, no home runs and 12 RBI.
Feliciano batted .275 with eight runs scored, four doubles, one triple and two RBI in 31 games with the Mets this season. He will most likely be back when rosters expand next week.
With Reyes sidelined, the Mets needed another middle infielder on the bench. Reyes has been listed as day to day.
