Jenrry Mejia had his first truly dominant outing of the season (above A ball, anyway), firing 7 shutout innings, allowing just 1 hit and 2 walks with 8 strikeouts for his first win. Had Jerry Manuel not sabotaged him, it is very likely Mejia would be in the Mets rotation right now. The Mets offense had 14 hits and a 2/10 BB/K ratio, while going 5 for 11 (.456) with RISP and leaving 8 on base. Jose Coronado, Josh Satin, Zach Lutz and Jon Malo had multi hit games, no Met took an 0-fer.

Scott Moviel has been worlds better out of the bullpen, and that trend continued tonight, as he worked the final 4 innings allowing just one hit to pick up his 2nd save. Moviel had compiled a brutal 2-6, 6.36 line as a starter, but as a reliever, he’s 0-0 with a 3.94 era in 10 outings, spanning 29.2 innings. Jim Fuller started and went 5 innings, allowing a run on 4 hits with 7 strikeouts for his first win in the FSL.

The Mets offense had 10 hits and 6 strikeouts, while going 2 for 11 (.182) with RISP and leaving 6 on base. Pedro Zapata and Richard Lucas had multi hit games, while Stefan Welch and Joey August (0 for 3, K, .260) took 0-fers.

Robbie Shields, Travis Ozga (0 for 4, .257), Nick Santomauro and Luis Nieves took 0-fers.
