Michael Antonini, for the second time in 3 outings, failed to make it out of the 4th inning, getting crushed for 7 runs on 8 hits. Over his last three starts, he’s given up 15 runs (14 in 2 starts) in 13.1 innings, he’s 0-2 over that span. John Lujan gave up 3 UER in his 2 innings to take the loss. The Met offense did their job with 10 hits and 4 walks, but struck out 14 times while going 5 for 11 (.556) with RISP and leaving 8 on base. Josh Satin and Sean Ratliff had multi hit games, while Zach Lutz took the only 0-fer.

Eric Beaulac was victimized by his defense tonight, as 3 Met errors led to 2 UER off him and he took the loss, even if he didn’t pitch particularly well, giving up 5 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings. The Met offense was shutout on 8 hits and 2 walks tonight, while striking out 10 times. They were hitless in 6 ABs with RISP and left 9 on base. Jordany Valdespin and Richard Lucas accounted for half the Met hits tonight with 2 hit games each.

Collin McHugh gave up 9 runs (6 earned) in 1.2 innings, and it just got worse from there as the Gnats got crushed 15 to 2. The highlight was Cesar Puello tonight, he got on base 3 more times and stole 2 more bases.

Javier Rodriguez had the only multi hit game for the Mets, while Aderlin and Ray Van Gurp took 0-fers.
