Is Lee On The Move Soon?

So the continuing saga…continues…

Geoff Baker has struck again on his Marinerblog for the Seattle Times. Baker, a great baseball writer for the Seattle Times, believes Cliff Lee will be on the move, maybe even after tonights game vs. the Yankees in the Bronx.

He concludes that the Met package would be enough to trump the Twins package that would enable the Mets to acquire Lee. Josh Thole would be part of that package, Baker reports.

If only we were dealing with Mr. Baker instead of Jack Zduriencik…

Baker continues to discuss the inclusion of Angel Pagan in any package. Everyone knows my feelings pertaining to Angel’s being part of any package, after last weeks post. However, Geoff also mentions Kirk Nieuwenhuis as an attractive piece that may interest the Mariners.

But, as is rightfully the situation, Omar Minaya and his ‘team’ will probably make any recommendation to ownership and if the deal makes sense financially, and the prospects/player package is deemed acceptable than Lee may indeed be on his way to Queens.
