Scott Moviel got ripped yet again, giving up 5 runs (4 earned) on 8 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings for his 6th loss of the season. Elvin Ramirez had a rough outing tonight, he’d had a 1.59 era in his last 10 outings (17 ip, 11 h, 3 er, 5/10 bb/k), but he gave up 3 in his inning of work tonight.

The Mets offense had 8 hits and drew 2 walks, while going just 2 for 11 (.182) with RISP, leaving 8 ion, and striking out 7 times (3 by catcher Jean Luc Blaquiere). Fernando Martinez, Jordany Valdespin and Josh Satin had multi hit games, while Stefan Welch, Richard Lucas, Joey August (0 for 3, BB, .308) and Blaquiere (0 for 4, 3 Ks, .193) took 0-fers.
