A Jordany Valdespin error in the bottom of the 7th opened the door for Bradenton to tie the game with an UER off Jeurys Familia, who nonetheless had a great outing, one of his best this season. Rhiner Cruz allowed a run in the 8th to take the loss, his 2nd.

The Mets offense had 5 hits and a walk, against 5 strikeouts, while going 3 for 4 with RISP and leaving 2 on base. No Met had a multi hit game, while Ryan Mollica (0 for 3, RBI, 2 Ks, .286), Joey August (0 for 3, .306), Juan Torres and Richard Lucas took 0-fers.

Wes Wrenn didn’t those of us watching him tonight with his mid 80s fastball and low 70s slurve, but he did hold Aberdeen to 2 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings for the win. Johan Figuereo picked up his second save with 2 scoreless innings, striking out 5.

The Cyclones offense had 4 hits and 2 walks, while going 1 for 3 with RISP and leaving 2 on, while striking out 8 times. Cory Vaughn had the only multi hit game, while James Schroeder (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .000), Jeff Flagg (0 for 4, K, .188), JB Brown (0 for 3, .077), Joe Bonfe (0 for 2, BB, .250), Taylor Freeman (0 for 3, K, .000) and Rylan Sandoval (0 for 2, K, .250) all took 0-fers.
