Eric Niesen had his second best outing since returning off the DL (concussion), with 5.1 scoreless for his 2nd win. Manuel Alvarez picked up his first AA save. The Mets offense had 9 hits and drew 3 walks, but managed just one run, due to going hitless in 6 ABs with RISP, and leaving 8 on base, despite only 5 strikeouts. Luis Hernandez and Josh Satin had multi hit games, while Marshall Hubbard (0 for 4, .268) and Eric Campbell took 0-fers.

A South Atlantic League: Savannah 4/7/0, Augusta 1/7/2

No CG shutout tonight, but Armando Rodriguez was pretty good, giving up just a run on 6 hits and 3 walks in 6.1 innings for his 5th win of the season. With the win, the Gnats moved 2 games ahead of Augusta with 3 to play in the first half. Michael Powers worked a scoreless 9th for the 8th save. The Gnats offense had 7 hits and 2 walks with 10 strikeouts, while going 3 for 12 with RISP and leaving 6 on. Pedro Zapata, fresh off a 5 for 5, had 2 more hits to push his batting average to .286, 6 points ahead of Wilmer Flores.
