AA Eastern League: Binghamton 2/6/1, Trenton 6/8/1

Eric Niesen had another start marred by control issues, something which plagued the entire Mets staff today, as they walked a combined 10. Niesen walked 4 in 1.1 innings, as well as giving up 3 runs on 2 hits, for his 3rd loss. The Mets offense had 6 hits and a walk, while going 1 for 11 (.091) with RISP, leaving 6 on base, and striking out 12 times.

Collin McHugh should just toss this one out and forget it ever happened, he got blown up good for 8 runs on 7 hits in 1 inning, his ERA skyrocketted from 2.52 to 3.79. The Gnats had just 6 hits and a walk, while going 1 for 7 (.143) with RISP, leaving 5 on base, and striking out 5 times. Michael Fisher had the only multi hit game, while Pedro Zapata, Jefry Marte, Dock Doyle (0 for 2, BB, K, .182) and Alonzo Harris took 0-fers.
