AAA International League: Buffalo 8/13/0, Pawtucket 2/9/0

The Bisons put up 3 in the 2nd and 4 in the 6th today, cruising to a 8-2 victory over the Sox today. Fernando (2), Mike Hessman (3), Chris Carter (4) had multi hit games today, while Josh Thole (0 for 4, .050; 1 for 20) and Mike Cervanek (0 for 4, RBI, .167) took 0-fers. The Bisons were 5 for 9 (.556) with RISP and left 4 on base. They drew one walk and struck out 1 time. RA Dickey fired a CG today to pick up the win, he allowed 2 runs on 9 hits and threw 112 pitches.

Dylan Owen allowed 3 runs (1 earned) in 6 innings, and then the bullpen came in and was outstanding, with Derrick Ellison and Josh Stinson combined for 7 innings of 1 hit shutout relief. Stinson picked up his first win with 4 hitless.

The top 3 hitters in the lineup (Nieuwenhuis (2), Evans (2), Hubbard (3)) had multi hit games, as did Luis Hernandez (2). DJ Wabick (0 for 2, .000), and Jose Coronado (0 for 4, run, 2 BBs, 2 Ks, .350) took 0-fers. The Mets were 5 for 17 (.294) with RISP and left 13 on base. They drew 5 walks and struck out 9 times.

Jeurys Familia had a second straight subpar outing tonight, he walked 5 in 4.1 innings and gave up 3 hits and 3 runs (2 earned). Angel Calero picked up the win with 2.1 innings, allowing just 2 hits and an unearned run. Manuel Alvarez picked up his 3rd save with a scoreless 9th.

The Mets offense had 6 hits and 2 walks, they were 2 for 7 (.286) with RISP and left 3 on base, and struck out 6 times. Josh Satin (0 for 3, run, RBI, .333), Sean Ratliff (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .190), and Raul Reyes (0 for 3, K, .182) took 0-fers, no Met had a multi hit game.
