I love Nick Evans. He is a solid ball player who gets the job done everytime. The only reason I can think of way he doesn’t get enough playing time is because the media didn’t sign a spot light on him like they did with F-Mart and Murphy. I got his autograph the last day of the season and seemed to be having fun the whole time being with the fans who like to see him play. I hope he can have more playing time this season.

This is just another crime by the Gangsta. Evans is a perpetual inhabitant of Jerry’s Doghouse. He will never be given a chance to come out of it. Jerry’s headgames will only serve to totally destroy his career. It is a crime and just one reason of many that the Mets need a new manager. It is a shame that a young player of this potential is given less opportunity than the least marginal of bench players. Meanwhile the team needs help at filling its hole at 1B. Who oversees the egregious crimes of the Gangsta which only serve to undermine and destoy this team?

Once the Mets make their first roster cuts and send the kids to minor league camp across the way, I do believe we’ll get a longer look at Evans if only to see if he has any value to other interested parties like Tom above me said.

He fell out of favor last year when he batted under .100 in AA, but they should at least give him some at bats. Maybe a team will become interested in him.
