I've said it all along that Beltran is the key to the Mets season so if he can come back by mid April, then the better for the team and for us fans. I think Beltran more so than Delgado can be the bridge to the Latin players (Perez, Reyes) that everyone seems to always complain about. I always got the impression that Beltran is just as much revered as Delgado was, so I think his presence as a player is very important in order to keep Reyes, Pagan, and Perez focused thru the season. Santana can only do it every 5 days but Beltran is there everyday and is more suitable for the role in my opinion. Well that’s great to hear especially after the news on Reyes.
