Adam Rubin Departing The NY Daily News

Last night while appearing on WFAN, New York Mets Beat Writer Adam Rubin announced that he will be departing the New York Daily News [Hat Tip: Tom Pich of MetsGuide].

He did not specify where he would be going other than that he would still be covering the Mets in some form.

Today, Pich communicated with Rubin via email and was told that he will be joining ESPNNewYork.com, which will go online in about two weeks.

Over the past couple of years, Rubin has been noted for his incredible analysis of the New York Mets organization. Last year, Rubin made headlines for getting into a very public spat with General Manager Omar Minaya during a press conference.

Rubin has always been supportive of the Mets blogging community and has done interviews with Mets Merized Online on numerous occasions.

Best of luck to Adam on the next chapter of his career!
