One thing I would like to comment on is that I feel Beltran will be back before expected. He has had a history of healing quick and if he can go, has shown the desire and want to play. I have a hinkling that Beltran is going to have a really strong season, whether it be due to a contract year, or to prove all the doubters wrong. Two things I feel the Mets need to focus on coming out of the gate are: 1) Not stranding Runners 2) THROW STRIKES!!! NO WALKING THE LEADOFF MAN IN AN INNING!! If we can atleast accomplish those two areas, we can stay with the pack until we get to full strength, and then, hopefully breakout. Good article, fair and to the point.
