Shelling out money and getting who you want is not exactly Being a great General Manager. Gettin Tex and cc. and the other dude made the diffrence and it took money. Omar has to be smart and making these decisions is gonna be hard. But we got johan, we got beltran and we got krod. So omar knows what he is doing, the problem is timing and if the players want to really play here. if we won it in 06 things of course would be diffrent today. but we didnt and basically the mets failed, randolph shouldnt have been fired. Omar put the mets on the map again. and its the team and the front office that is making him look bad. Right now its about getting the Right players not the best players. Then yankees will always get the best players. And they will be the team to beat, and seeing them lose with such team will be worth watching. But as a mets fan i go for the underdog. and the team needs to shape up especially its fan base. We sound like a bunch of bitches. Articles like this comparing us to the yankees is what pisses me off because there are many teams not doing what the yankees are. I can't even remember the last time Wright had a meaningful hit. EVERY TIME I saw him come up with the team down and with RISP, he'd be flailing at pitches and end up grimly tossing his equipment with that same stupid expression on his face. I really do like the kid and own a couple of his jerseys, but man, he really disappeared last year. I don't care if he had people batting after him or not, he just plain didnt show up. 10 HRs from someone who is supposed to be the center of the franchise is just "not acceptable."
