1969. Being a 10 yr old kid and being told by EVERYONE that the Orioles were going to beat the crap out of the Mets. Having a great teacher who would let us listen to the games on our transistor radios for 45 minutes every day a game was on (the games were played during the day only). Running home from school like a lunatic to catch the last few innings of the final game. Watching Cleon Jones go down on one knee after catching the final out. Calling my Grandfather (the man who turned me into a Mets fan) and screaming into the phone WE WON,WE WON! What team, what a year.

Jeter really silenced the crowd on that one. Do you remember Piazza's shot that was called foul. It went over the foul poll into the mezzanine section? Might it have been fair?

Needless to say, considering our venue, my biggest WS memory was Mookie's ball through Buckner's legs.

Since that time, we Mets fans haven't had too many positive memories. I was able to attend Game 4 of the 2000 WS, and unfortunately, the memory that I carry from that night was Jeter's leadoff HR.
