WOW 500 grand.The guy almost won an MVP has hit over 50 homers in a season.And Omar couldn’t offer him 600 grand and a chance to win the left field job.Even if he came off the bench,he could also fill in for Beltran in center.I hope Omar knows what he is doing.I hope he isn’t in Puerto Rico smoking Delgado’s degenerate hip.

I agree with your final analysis. Jones for $500G is a steal and would have been an upgrade over Jeremy Reed and Cory Sullivan. Huge missed opportunity for Omar here.
