Lets not agonize over whether the Yankees sign Mauer in 2011 or not. First, who know.? The Twins desperately want to keep him and i sense Mauer, a local Minny kid, wants to stay there. i bet the Twins keep him.
But forget this soap opera and lets focus on how to revive the Mets in 2010.

I have no idea what Julie is talking about, but as for the main thrust of this blog, Joe you should already be used to how the world works in baseball. The Yankees always get the best players because they know the age old adage that it takes money to make money. The more they spend the more they make.

Really cool to take time to go to another team’s blog and brag, huh? That’s really big of you. What are you in real life? Unemployed? Work in a Burger King? (nothing wrong with that, though) Maybe you’re a 30 or 40 year old still living with mom and dad?

In that case i guess we all have to hold onto something and if the Yankees are making you a better man, way to go.

I really loved your article I can tell yu love the game well written.
One of the desires of my heart is God willing one day sooner then later…I want to help bring fair trade, capped salaries and cheaper tickets to fans!!!

I love the Mets and I adopted the Yankees as my own after 9-11 I have my own biasis on who should have won and we can agree to disagree wfor love of the game.

Speaking of just that..For Love Of The Game as we begin to become a nation of integrity our favorite American past time will surely follow suit as well!!!

I thought the same thing about Mauer and the Yanks. However, Mauer has literally played in the Metrodome his entire life – High School, College, MLB. As a home-grown product and with some more money coming their way from a new stadium, the Twins and Mauer just MIGHT figure out a way to keep him at home. That being said, the Yanks will need a new catcher and Mauer’s gonna be awfully tempting for them to blow a couple tens of millions on.

Why dont you stop your whining and just admit you wish the Mets were run like we were. Too bad, there’s only room for one class act in this city. Dont worry though, every now and then miracles do happen, you guys know that. Mets championships arent built or bought, they are won miraculously. So hang in there and keep praying.
