For the old school jerseys, why did they add the black drop shadow? It’s suppose to be old school.

I saw the replicas in Modell’s yesterday for $100 and wow, do these look cheap! Not sure how the authentics look but the old school cream color with still keeping the black looks bad. Otherwise they should’ve kept it white if they were keeping the black. I’m really disappointed as I thought they were getting rid of the black.

Im glad to hear about the new uniforms, I still like the black ones too, but I think they should goto a blue jersey.

I called both Mets Clubhouse shops and they both told me that only the pinstriped are on clearance, 50% off. That could change of course. Also there’s nothing on the Mets site as of yet but both shops also told me the new jersey would be on sale most likely next Friday. I’m sure the site would be updated to do their promoting before Black Friday. I do hope its the 60’s throwbacks and not the NY ones from this past season against the Giants.

I totally agree with Ed, and while I liked the black unis at first, I cant stand them anymore. It’s time to move on. As for the new uniforms, I cant wait to see them. I love throwbacks and I’m looking forward to seeing them play with a nostalgic looking uniform next season.

You sure it isn’t going to be those NY Giants jerseys they wore with just a Brooklyn Dodgers cap and NY highlanders stockings? I’m actually happy with this even if it is just a marketing ploy, because as we can see throughout the professional sports world, retro is back with a vengeance.
