I TRULY FEEL FOR MY NEIGHBORING TENESSEANS AS A NORTH CAROLINIAN I’M ALSO INFESTED WITH BRAVES’ DELUSIONED FANS. WHERE I LIVE, JUST OUTSIDE CHARLOTTE, MY GEOGRAPHY IS CLAIMED AS HOME BRADCAST TURF BY ATANTA,CINCINATTI, WASHINGTON AND AS SUCH, ALTHOUGH I PAY TO RECEIVE SNY & XTRA-INNINGS I’M FORCED TO LISTEN TO ALL GAMES AGAINST THOSE TEAMS ON THEIR LOCAL FEEDS, WITH THEIR ANNOUNCERS,ANALYSTS. IS THERE A BIGGER HOMER OUT THERE THAN ROB DRIVEL OF GNATS?

ONE ADVANTAGE IS GETTING TO EVALUATE OUR TEAM THROUGH OPPONENT’S EYES FOR EXAMPLE, ATLANTA HATES FACING OLLIE, THEY ALL HIGHLIGHT REYES AS THE ONE TO FOCUS ON AS “WHO WE CAN’T LET BEAT US”.
INDIVIDUAL INJURIES ARE NO EXCUSE FOR FAILURE; BUT THE INJURY TOTALS WE SUSTAINED WAS TANTAMOUNT TO THE DARK AGE’S BLACK PLAGUE. FOR A FRANCHISE TOO OFTEN CRITICIZED FOR LACK OF DEPTH SOMEHOW WE PRODUCED 12 DIFFERENT SP(NONE LIMAESQUE), 4 SS,3 CF,4 1B AND SO ON. WHEN CRITICIZING THE ‘09 SEASON & PAYROLL IT’S IMPORTANT TO ASCERTAIN WHETHER THE 140M PAYROLL ROSTER DISAPPOINTED OR THE REPLACEMENT,STRIKE LEVEL ROSTER DID. WE ALL SAW THE LARGEST PAYROLLED & CURRENT REIGNING WORLD CHAMPION YANKS STRUGGLE ATTEMPTING TO REPLACE 1 PLAYER, A-ROD. I WONDER WHO THEIR FOURTH BACKUP TO JETER IS? WE KNOW REYES’ WHO’S JEETS’ OR ROLLINS’, ESCOBAR’S, RAMIREZ’ U GET THE PICTURE? BTW THIS TIME IT WASN’T AN ‘AGE’ FACTOR. THIS IS CERTAINLY FIXABLE, THE QUESTION IS HOW NOT IF.

it’s disheartening the yankees opened their new stadium with a championship, and the Miserable Mets had yet another depressing year.

Everybody picks on the Metsies including our own bloggers. Injuries,injuries and more injuries,did you notice that? Resign Putz,Delgado, and Maine and try again with last year’s team. Get Lackey and Holliday and we’ll win it all. the farm system is better than people think, hang onto those prospects and in “11 and ‘12 they’ll be ready to heip an already good team.

As a fellow Tennessean and a Mets fan you can escape the day to day talk, if not all relevent sport coverage. This is not by choice, but because of the lousy coverage down here. The Tennessean is the worst paper around and any baseball that they have is focused on the Braves.
