It’s always such an enormous pleasure to share our opinions and interact with the best baseball fans in the world.
Our love of the Mets binds all of us together and though we may disagree sometimes on how to get there, we all share one common goal, and that is to see the Mets win another World Series. (That and throwing a no-hitter would be nice too!)
I also want to thank and remember all of our brave service men and women who continue to serve our country and defend the American way of life. Our thoughts are always with you, and we honor your incredible courage and commitment to protecting our freedom.

Oh, yeah. My nephew, Justin, recently returned from his second tour in Irag. Before he left on his first tour, I gave him my father’s dogtag, which he wore during the Normandy invasion in WWII. I figured that if my dad survived Omaha Beach, Justin would be ok.
His take on the tour – he likes the Iraqi people and most like him. Lots of goodwill extended winning hearts and minds. Stretches of boredom broken by brief intervals of extreme violence.
Thank God he’s safe.
