Everyone needs to relax and realize that these rankings are just based on opinion. There is no need to start bashing the Mets minors again, just because the #1 guy has a 12 something ERA in Arizona. He has good stuff. The minors is where you hone your skills. No one said Mejia is going to be taking over for Santana next year.

If Brad Holt has 3-4 starter stuff (thats what BA says) then what does that say about John Niese? I remember how excited I used to be when the Mets top 10 came out, now it just makes me hate the Wilpons and Minaya more.

Geesh, this the best we got?Only two guys in Triple A and one is always hurt and the other didn't do especially well. Only two performed well in Double A and one of them has no power and no position (a poor man's Daniel Murphy?). The rest are Single A and some didn't do very well there! The next 3-4 years could be long ones.

Negative, negative, negative. Take an upper, will you please.

By the way, your characterization of Thole could be said of most minor leaguers. All of them belong in the majors only when they prove themselves. Are you a Yankeee fan still sporting a hangover?

Why are you soo down on the farm system 86Mets??? Thole might only be a singles hitter, but instead of looking at it as a negative, why not try too look at it in a positive? You know the things he does well.Hit for average.I know Tony Gwynn was a fat singles hitter too.The other players not named in the top 10,are pretty good two.I love Halladay and wish too see him pitching in Citifield too? But i dont want too trade the future for a 31 yrold pitcher who might not want to resign here.Good teams use there own minor league systems,to plug holes. Our team is a year away from doing that.So i would hold tight on trades.Go after freeagents you want, players that stay healthy and want to win.

Just proves how weak the Mets farm system is when your 8th best prospect is a catcher with no power, poor defender, and whose only positive attribute is an ability to spray singles around the field. On top of that, your 10th best prospect is an international signing whose father sits in jail charged with murder. Of course you cannot blame that on the kid, but these kinds of things can become a distraction IF he ever makes it to NY which is no sure thing.

I know this is probably just a big pipe (bomb) dream, but I HOPE the Mets JUST ONCE, used their considerable resources next June when they have a top 10 pick. PLEASE, not another Stephen Matz or Eddie Kunz Omar, PLEEEEASSSE!!!!! If they'd stop worrying about pleasing Bud Selig and start focusing on TALENT in the amateur draft, maybe we'd start seeing some true future stars start rolling through the system. Heaven knows the Royals and Pirates don't care much about Bud's slotting system, so why should the Mets?

I hope the Mets can find a way to trade F-Mart in a package to get Roy Halladay. The kid can never stay on the field.
