WITH THE PREPONDERANCE OF OUR BEST RBI BATS SHELVED FOR MUCH OF THE SEASON, SCORING WAS GOING TO BE DIFFICULT & EVERY OPPORTUNITY WAS DECIDED TO BE MAXIMIZED NECESSITATING RISKS U USUALLY DON'T TAKE WITH A FULL HEALTHY SQUAD. IF U CAN'T COUNT ON THE SUBSEQUENT HITTERS DRIVING IN A RUN FROM 3B WHAT GOOD IS IT TO HOLD THEM THERE? IF U FAIL 100% TO DRIVE IN FROM THIRD & 90% OF SENDING RUNNERS ISN'T SENDING THE BETTER OPTION? After one of the worst team pitching performances in the majors while pitching in a pitchers park, I never believed Warthen would survive. He must truly be a miracle Met. Now instead of getting gunned down at the plate, all the Mets base runners will be picked off at first! I swear to you that we will see- at least 10 times- the slowest runner on the Mets getting picked off because Razor Shines told them to take a big lead!!!!! WAY TO GO, OMAR!! In addition, Dan Warthen has to go, too. I just can't think of any suitable replacements. Any ideas out there? Can someone explain to me how Razor Shines has survived?!
