Seriously, I hope the changes promised at Citi Field really do bring back to life the great memories of our Mets history I'm proud to be a member of MetsMerized. I'm proud to be a member since the early Myspace days. I see nothing but good things for this site as time goes on. Maybe we can start our own call in show? Using our pc mics? I've got my own version of the "Francesa Wave"! lol Godspeed to Joe and the Staff. I don't even want to think about what it would be like without you guys. 15 million hits? You have to find a job for El Sid, one of my favorites. Can we put him in charge of concessions? By the way, I love this site and I it is one of my homepage tabs. I do most of commenting in your chat room, but now that there's a chance I can get my 15 minutes of fame by being published, I'll have to leave you some comments now and then. I enjoy the regular people in the chat room like Bayonne, 224 and Brooklyn. I also like it when some of the writers pop in and chat with us too. You all have done a fantastic job this season staying on top of all the Mets issues. I also liked all the new writers that joined the site this year too. Anyway thanks again for a great site. Although i agree with Joe on Lenny...he's a mess. But, like most readers have done over the past couple of months Joe, Tommy has posted a list of possible managerial candidates he would like to see. Everyone has their own list, and some of them even have a few names in common. But the one thing these list of candidates had in common is a new GM. Another change found in common was pitching coach. personally, I think they should have cleaned house of all the management staff, but that was never a realistic possibility. But to retain Warthen makes no sense to me what so ever. Many critisims could be made of most aspects of this 2009 team, but to me the most glaring was the pitching staff. One word sums up the pitching all year round, chaos. that is what Warthen's leadership and guidance brought this team, and his handling of Santana should have sealed his fate. Hopefully the GM we are stuck with can turn it around, and change his image that most fans have of him. As for the articles and readers comments posted on this site, I found them all to be passionate, and very interesting to read. I agree that Mets fans are some of the most intelligent and passionate around the league. I found a few friends on this site this year as well.
