hey guys,

sorry for responding late this, but this is something i wanted to get off my chest…why am i hearing a lot of met fans wanting to root for the Phils…it doesn’t make sense, one caller said well i rather see that fan only 8 times a year compare to my next door neighbor…..ahhh rubbish….that Phil fan will still find a way to u, especially these days, if they win we willllllll never stop hearing it plus it gives them more ammo and scrutinizing pressure on the mets next year, f that….maybe because i’m living in Miami where they hate NYer’s but no matter if i was living back in queens or down here in the 3rd world country, i will still root for the stankees….pick your poison people, its the stanks….shit even if they lose the fans will talk shit, because of all their championship so have the phils have more ammo to do the same….met fans it’s time to side with the stanks on this, hey if it was us and boston do u think the stank fans will be for beantown

I don’t understand how ANY self respecting Mets fan can come right out and admit that they like the Phillies right now and are rooting for them to win it all. This is the team that has been so happy to step on our faces year after year. This is the team that won the World Series last year and STILL decided to dog the Mets during their WS parade. They didn’t beat us in the WS and they didn’t even beat us to get into the playoffs. Can you imagine what they’re going to say if they win it all again? For the second year in a row??? Mets fans…..do you all want to hear Jimmy Rollins’ cocky a*s talking junk in downtown Philadelphia again? I say PHUCK THE PHILS and anyone who has ANY kind of love for them. They hate the Mets, they hate the Mets fans….why would ANY Mets fan show them any kind of love!? I have no idea!

BTW: Jon Matlack and Ed Kranepool have agreed to one year contracts. They are still working on Koosman. Being a 20 game loser in 1977 will allow him to fit right in come the 2010 season!!!

I don’t think it’ll be a sweep and think it would be a good WS, baseball-wise. It won’t be a rout which would be good. And as for the teams, nothing we can do to change it. Of course I’m in FL so it doesn’t hurt as much as when I lived in NY. However I still have family up in NY that are bandwagoners and that’s what gets me since they used to be Mets fans. So in a way if the Phils win, I won’t care.

I’ve had to be around both groups of fans every day for the last month, and that’s not going to change any time soon. Both fans are going to be arrogant and run their mouths all winter anyway.

With that being said, even though I won’t be watching I’ll be hoping for two things: 1, that the games don’t pre-empt HOUSE; and 2, Yankees in 4.

I do not want Philadelphia beating a New York team again, and I’d rather deal with a 27th title thatn

But on a sidenote, how does Cleveland feel seeing CC vs. Lee.

What the Phjillies are now is what the 2006 mets thought they were going to be but found out they did not have the testosterone for. I do not hate the Phillies. I kind of like their makeup. I do hate the Braves. I really hate the Marlins. And I have hated the Yankees since the womb. So I will have no problem rooting for the Phils. The Yanks have better pitching and Mariano, but the Yanks really struggled to win most of their games against two pretty sloppy teams in these playoffs. I foudn the Angels to be terribly overrated. I think the Phils can win it.

At least it should be a good world Series where the 2 best teams in baseball will duke it out for the title. Not 1 great team and another “Happy to be here” team which the series usually results in a rout and makes for very boring TV. I’m going for the National League team like I always do, but I hope the Phillies lose!

Look at the brightside. At this point it can’t possibly get any worse. Anyway i would like to see the yankees win just because we’ve heard all the yankee trash talk before, not like it is going to change. unlike the phillies, our division foes who will run there mouths till next september
