NOT TAKING CHANCES WITH MORE INJURY RETURNS. THERE’S TOO MANY OF THOSE ANYWAY. PERHAPS AS A #4 OR 5 U’D CHANCE HUDDY ON THE CHEAP ala REDDING/LIVAN IN ’09. DUQUE IN ’08. NO BETTER THAN THAT IF THEY’RE INTENDING ON COMPETING.

the Perez deal sucks too, but at least when the deal was made Ollie still had potential, is a lefty, wasn’t hurt much in his career, and was only like 27 y/o.

Hudson is a quality picture, but the injury risk is too much. After the amount of injuries this team had last year, they do not need to bring in a guy who has been injured more then pedro martinez

The Mets draft pick is protected so they wouldn’t have to give up their draft anyway if they signed a A/B free agent.

Consequently, the fact that he is not type A/B actually will make signing him (if the Mets’ wanted to) more difficult, not less.
