I would rather have a 1st round supplemental draft pick for schnieder if we offer arb and he declines. The mets should sign someone like Zaun to mentor Thole.

Sure resign him he's a great guy! And resign Maine, Delgado, and Putz too. And let Murphy be the starter at first. Things will be better next year!

With all the experience the young players got this year,it will help for next year. But the Mets have to go and sign Bay,Holliday, or trade for Fielder or Dunn.Pitching they have to either sign Lackey or trade for Halladay.

It's pretty obvious that the Mets need at least one big bopper. It will be interesting to see whether they are willing to spring for one during the offseason. That will tell us much regarding expectations for the future.

I have no problem with Thole whatsoever. The problem I have is that the Mets have too many light hitters. We need a couple of guys that can be a threat to hit one out of the yard. C, 1B, 2B, LF leave too many singles hitters. This team needs change but it is not with the core players. Let's face it, Castillo is our 2nd baseman and he is not the problem. I actually think he earned his 6 million this season. I think that adding Benjie Molina or Miguel Olivo at C, Aubrey Huff at 1B and Bobby Abreu in LF could be an affordable solution that would give us more depth and resources to use at RP and SP
