They most likely will as he is a cheap insert into the rotation. Budget cutting is in the forefront and Redding is a prime example of a cheap option with some potential. I think we should count on it.

I just hope the Mets dont look at this recent and very limited success by Redding and do something stupid like offer him an extension.

This is Redding's 3rd good start. Overall, if you look at his starts, he is what he is, a #5 starter. I don't think he expected to be put into this situation. At his rate, he probably wish he signed back with the Nats given they have more offense. In all truth, Redding could easily have a winning record given how he has pitched. It really isn't his fault the team supplies no offense. And to be truthful, I rather see him than Ollie. In both Redding's starts against the Phils (whom he has a good career record against) he has put the Mets in position to win.

Good recap. Unfortunately, so much for our hopes that the bullpen got fixed. A good outing by Redding was wrecked by Stokes' second recent poor effort.

The GOAT award is obvious: Stokes, qualifying him as a GOATS repeater.

GOATS for the 2nd half: Parnell, Pelfrey, Cora, Perez, Pelfrey, Santana, Niese, Green, Pelfrey, Pagan, KRod, LHernandez, KRod, Parnell, Pagan, LHernandez, KRod, LHernandez, Parnell, Tatis, Misch, Perez, Parnell, Murphy, Pelfrey, Stokes, Parnell, Pelfrey, Stokes.

GOATS Repeaters: Parnell (5), Pelfrey (5), KRod (3), LHernandez (3), Pagan (2), Perez (2), Stokes (2).
