I joined this great team during the early summer months, you know, when we foolishly expected the Mets to make some great September run because “everybody would be back.” I’ve had a great time, and I really cannot wait until next season!
To wrap up the year, I decided to create a yearly feature for this website. It’s the MMO Awards. The winners will be voted solely by you, our readers.
To give you some background on the awards, I started to think about past players from my lifetime (I had to include Seaver though,) and I thought about what they brought to the table both positively and negatively. I tried to envision a few players who fit that award category, and that’s how we ended up here. I have created 18 MMO Awards.
To remain impartial, I sent the awards categories to our MMO Staff. I allowed them each to nominate THREE players/things per award. The largest vote totals would appear on the public ballot for you the reader to choose a winner.
I have created an account for you to submit your ballots to. You can e-mail me your winners at MMOAwards@gmail.com. Let me be clear on 1 thing. Your e-mail address will NOT be shared with anybody. The second I process your votes, your e-mail will be deleted.
Please only submit one ballot. This was kind of done on a whim, so maybe next year I can be more prepared and create a web ballot of sorts. To me, anybody can dish out awards when the team has an amazing season, but I wanted to get this going now because I think it’s important for all of your voices to be heard after such a trying year.
You can simply copy and paste this to the e-mail, I left a spot for you to type in your winner.
Please only choose ONE winner per award, and NO write in votes.
The deadline will be October 5th, the day after the regular season ends.

What a shock, the “left it all on the field” award has 3 white guys nominated, and the best personality award has 3 Hispanic guys.
That’s an odd thing to say.
Not when you consider the source.
I can tell you that Santana finished 1 vote shy of a tie for the final nomination on hustle, and Wright and Frenchy both finished 1 nomination shy of tying for the 3rd spot for personality
I was referring to James K as the source, not you. It’s all good. He is always leaving negative comments.
Oh no I know, I didn’t mean to reply to you directly on the thread. My fault
Great job with this. You put alot of work into it. I look forward to the final results.

fixed.
Guys, Jessep did a great job on this ballot, so please just take a few minutes to complete it, it should be lots of fun to see who the award winners are. Once again great Jessep!!
I think you should put Wright’s ninth-inning homer against Madson on the list for the Mike Piazza award.
It did receive recognition, but not enough nominations to crack the Top 3. Had there been 4 on the ballot, Wright’s HR would have made it.

What a shock…another angry WASP who hates the fact that his beloved sport is being over-run by what he considers to be overpaid lawnmower men.
hey genius..remember that it was Minaya that brought in Francour….drafted and brought up Murphy…drafted and brought up Thole…brought in Sullivan and brought in Reed
..the only people who care about race are angry bitter blanquitos like you.
I want the Mets to win a world series…I’m sure u do too…the difference is I wouldnt care if the players were white, black, brown, red, or purple…
What’s a blanquito? I want one.
Why is Danny not on the MVP ballot? He has more homers than Wright 5 less RBIs and has made some amazing plays at first.
