I certianly wonder about what Johan is thinking. He comes here, pitches through thick and thin and is rewarded with having one of the lowest run support averages in the leauge. Nice. He falls victim to the injurty bug, just like all the others and is out of the running for a well-deserved Cy-Young. He must be thinking “how can I get out of this contact.”

Mikey J, you make a great point about Pelf pitching in a place like K.C.. Its my feeling that Pelf is not a “New York Type Guy”. He wouldn’t be the first one, and he wouldn’t be the last.
Just one to add to your list, if I may:
“Do you ever wonder what type of dirt Omar has on the Wilpons to still have a job after three straight horrible Septembers?”

Mike Pelfrey would never pitch in KC. Because his ERA would be around 8.50 if he pitched in the American League. Thus he would be unemployed. Unless of course Minaya was the GM. Then we’d here quotes like

“We’ll I thought that cutter he threw in the 3rd inning looked pretty good”

and

“he did generate 2 swing and misses”
