I was there, and when I got home I went over the chat area and let it rip. It was a great night with the exception of the Philly fans sitting near me. I was in Section 138 - over in left center field. They came by the bus loads and were all sitting togther, and during the ceremony actually were disrespectful enough to start chanting "Lets go Phillies", many people tried to get them to stop.

I fully expect that during the game, as I know we Met fans travel south and do it too, but I'd expect, at the very least, enough respect to not do it during the annoucement of HOFers. Truly Classless.........

I caught it on TV and I almost had tears in my eyes a couple of times, one being when Ryan came out the other when families of those who were deceased were announced. The Mets have given us many reasons to rail against them, but I'll give them credit for putting together a touching tribute. Nice post!

I went back and watched it on MLB.tv last night. In my original post I forgot to mention that Tug McGraw's sons were there. The Met fans gave them lots of love too!

I was there as well. The Nolan Ryan appearance was the highlight for me. Imagine what could have been had he not been traded for Fregosi! I also enjoyed the video montage with Bryan Adams' "Summer of '69" providing a fitting musical backdrop.
