I agree with you about Oliver Perez. I never believed for a second there was anything wrong with him physically. Mets just needed an excuse to dl him.

Ollie's DL stint should be relabeled "I sucked" thats why I was on the DL.....
As for Reyes, shut him down and let him get the treatment he needs. Obviously he is really hurt and needs to do whatever it takes to be ready by spring training 2010.

Your article is wrong! Gary Sheffield was NOT out with a hamstring injury! It was a "muscle cramp." It should be referred to as a muscle cramp. That was the official diagnosis the Met PR put out thats what you should report. OH I know. Sheffield suffered a pulled hamstring today! OH My God! What a coincidence! PATHETIC! PATHETIC! By the way. I WIN the bet Sheffield will be out until the last week in August. Its the same injury! TOLD YA! God this is an awful year! Where is the Players Union is all of this?

Someone needs to get in Reyes’s ear and tell him to get a frick’in 2nd and 3rd opinion and stop relying on the Mets medical staff. I mean Holy Cow! This disgraceful handing of Met injured personnel just isn’t funny anymore.
It’s NOT normal to feel pain when you run! Cortisone shot, wait 2 weeks, try it again, What still pain? Ok.. wait 2 more weeks, ice, hot,,, ice .hot.. rest…… try it again in 2 more weeks.. What still pain….Ok fly back to New York to see the Met Doctor. Gee. Jose, how about we try another cortisone shot to get down the swelling in the muscle what you ask? Cortison shots just treat the inflamation but not the source of the injury. Jose Jose. you steal bases I treat injuries. here.lie back take a deep breath. big neddle….. there all down. Go rest another 2 weeks and continue your hot col alternating treatments. then Hmmmm. I don’t know run the bases from home to first as fast as you can and see if it stiill hurts. Two weeks later…. What’s that Jose? Your afraid to run full speed because it still hurts when you walk? OK OK. Fly back to New York and I’ll take another look…
ABSURD! WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!

I don't know about Citi Field being built on cursed land, but I do think the cat who ran onto the field on Opening Night might have something to do with the bad luck they've had with injuries. ;)
