It was all over once Beltran went down. Us Mets fans always gave him a hard time, but we forgot how much he meant to this team. Good speed, defense, and the way he was hitting the ball was outstanding. Looks like him and Reyes could be done for the year. If we are 8 games out by the middle of August, we still have no chance, when we can't score any runs for two decent starters (Santana and Pelfrey). I hate to say it, but I think Mike Pelfrey might be a good trade chip. He is so up and down, but he has great stuff, I think we could trade him for some depth for the 2010 season.
