If the Wilpons would need cardiac care with Manny, maybe we should have gotten him! Then we’d be free of the shackles the Wilpons impose on this team.

62, Maybe you didn’t read my comment. My conclusion was: “Selling the team seems to be the best option.” Why would I say that? Obviously to get rid of the options. It is clear that Omar’s do nothing status comes down from the Wilpons. Perhaps it is because of the luxury tax which you have been ranting about. I don’t care what the reason is. It is clear that the Mets are rudderless with the Wilpons at the top. So solve the problem and get rid of THEM! The Wipons need to sell the team so that someone with real money and dedicated to success can take over. Then they can retire to their own private dreamworld of the Brooklyn Dodgers (my former team, but unlike them I have chosen to live in the present now)and visions of sugar plums.

Fmart was placed on the DL yesterday but hadn’t played in 5 days so it gets back dated so no need to harp on that point, the date of FMart going on the DL is honestly the least of the problems right now.

In my view, the best move the Mets made during the last off-season was not going after Manny — a bum and a clubhouse maggot, no matter what Joe Torre is saying right now.

He would be coming back right now if he had the same habits on the East Coast as on the Left Coast. His play in CitiField leftfield would be something to behold — a clown who actually makes Lastings Milledge look good in comparison.

He would have been costly rental, contributing only a half inning every inning, the offensive half. Given the Wilpons’ concern for public image, they would likely need full time cardiac care by the end of this season.
