For the third time in four years, David Wright will start at third base and represent the Mets in the All-Star Game on July 14. Last year was selected as an injury replacement for Chipper Jones. Wright has led the league in batting (.334) and on-base percentage (.415) for most of the year and has 23 doubles and 20 stolen bases.

Carlos Beltran was voted in for the fifth time in six years, but is not expected to play due to a bone bruise in his knee. Beltran was among the league leaders in several categories before he went on the DL, and was leading the Mets in homeruns, runs, RBIs, and OPS.
