At Least ESPN Finds The Mets Entertaining…
Here is a sobering video of the Mets worst plays of the season according to ESPN.
I warn you that this is definitely not for the squeamish.
Can you believe that this Mets team was predicted to win the World Series by Sports Illustrated?
Is it time to think about 2010 yet?
A hat tip to Mark for the video link.

Its been time to think about 2010 for about a month.
ESPN left out one huge “Not Top 10″ play…Ryan Church missing 3rd base!
At least this team is good for a laugh. Tonight should be another funny game with Oliver Perez pitching!
Shit, its not funny anymore.
Gee thanks.
Honestly, are the players and Met management as embarrassed as the fans? Is it really that they are making loads of cash, so they don’t care anyway? In a time when 1 in 10 people have no jobs, houses are being lost and years of working for retirement have been flushed down the toilet, can you give just a little positive distraction? For shits sake, even this AAA lineup gets paid $80m, isn’t more then most of the league? Louis can you try to run hard, catch a grounder, make a throw? Tatis is it possible not to hit into a double play? David, right now you couldn’t hit a bull in the ass with a snow shovel, take a rest already…pathetic.
Where’d I put that rope?
Where’s the circus music? Would prefer it over the commentary.
Looking back at that Castillo play, I just realized the funniest part…..he throws the ball to second base after he drops it. I mean, there was probably time to throw a hail mary to home plate, but instead, Luis throws to second, because, you know, you wouldn’t want A-Rod to stretch that single into a double. Pathetic.
Funny,I noticed that also for the first time. It’s as though when seeing it live, the shock of the dropped ball turned everything after it into a blur of horror. I never even realized or remembered the misguided throw to 2nd. Apparently, he had no clue as to what was going on while the ball was in flight. More pathetic than I even realized.
