Dylan Owen’s now run off a string of 3 great starts in a row (20.2 innings, 14 hits, 4/15 bb/k), turning his season around. Tonight he went 7 shutout innings to push his AA ERA under 5, and pick up his 2nd win of the season. Connor Robertson struck out the side in the 9th for his 2nd AA save.

The Mets had 8 hits and 4 walks, while going 3 for 11 (.273) with RISP, leaving 8 on base. Jose Coronado and Shawn Bowman had multi hit games, while Josh Petersen (0 for 3, BB, .295), Jon Malo (0 for 3, BB, K, .268) and Mike Nickeas (Justin’s favorite player; 0 for 3, K, .125) all took 0-fers.

The Mets straight up opened a can of collosal whoop ass tonight, scoring in each of the first 6 innings (4-4-1-1-4-2), hammering out 18 hits and drawing 9 walks en route to their largest margin of victory in quite some time. 7 of the 10 players who played today had multi hit games, while 2 took 0-fers, Francisco Pena (0 for 5, .218), and Zach Lutz (0 for 2, .273; and Lutz left the game in the 3rd inning).

Angel Calero did not make it out of the 3rd inning after being staked to an 8-0 lead. Josh Stinson pitched 2.2 scoreless for the win.

The Gnats offense had 11 hits and 3 walks, while going 3 for 11 (.273) with RISP, leaving 7 on base. Raul Reyes (left the game after diving for a ball), Jefry Marte and Jordan Abruzzo had multi hit games, while Jean Luc Blaquiere (0 for 4, K, .215) and Jose Jimenez (0 for 4, K, .102) took 0-fers.

The failure of the Cyclones to do anything against Jacob Smith (normally a short reliever pushed to 6 innings) ended up biting them in the butt tonight, as they fell 1-0 in 16. They were held to just 7 hits and 2 walks, while going just 0 for 5 with RISP and leaving 9 on base.

On the flip side, 4 Cyclone pitchers combined to allow just 9 hits and 4 walks, with Mike Lynn suffering the loss after escaping his own bases loaded no out jam in the 15th, then giving up a run in the 16th.

Met pitching gave up 16 hits, led by Guillaume LeDuc who gave up 11 in 5 innings. Zach Rosenbaum gave up an UER in the 6th to take a BS, and Luis Rojas gave up the gamewinner in the 10th for his first loss. LeDuc had a bad start, giving up 4 runs (2 earned) along with those 11 hits.

The Mets offense had just 9 hits, but drew 5 walks, and were 3 for 10 with RISP, while leaving 8 men on base. RJ Harris, Jeff Flagg and Gerad Mochizuki had multi hit games, while Alonzo Harris (0 for 3, BB, K, .235), John Freeman (0 for 4, K, .186), and Pedro Zapata (0 for 2, run, BB, K, .361) took 0-fers.
