For the second straight game, the Mets fell behind, then attempted a rally. Only this time, they succeeded in tying it with 2 in the 8th, only to see Stephen Clyne give up a run in the bottom of the inning.
Chris Mason started and wasn’t all that effective, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits in 5 innings. Clyne took the loss.

The Mets had 8 hits and a walk, while going just 1 for 11 (.091) with RISP, leaving 5 on base. Kirk Nieuwenhuis (2), and Carlos Guzman (2) had multi hit games, while Greg Veloz (0 for 4, 2 Ks, .236), Zach Lutz (0 for 3, 2 Ks, .282; HBP, left game for PR (was tying run)), and Francisco Pena (0 for 4, K, .218) all took 0-fers.

Eric Beaulac gave up 4 runs (all UER) on 4 hits in 5 innings, getting a tough loss, thanks to errors by himself (3), Wilmer (11), and Marte (2; 37). John Church relieved him and made sure the game was out of reach, giving up 9 runs (8 earned, Marte’s 2nd error led to it) in 2 innings.

The Gnats had just 5 hits on the day, along with 3 walks. They were0 for 5 with RISP and left 5 on base. Josh Satin (0 for 3, RBI, BB, K, .304), Eric Campbell (0 for 4, .259), Jean Luc Blaquiere (0 for 3, 2 Ks, .206) and Jose Jimenez (0 for 3, 2 Ks, .093) took 0-fers. No Gnat had a multi hit game.

Matias Carrillo gave up a run in the 8th, after the Cyclones had battled back from 3-0 down to tie with single runs in the 1st, 4th and 6th. Carrillo got tagged with his first loss, after Mark Cohoon gave up 3 runs on 5 hits in 6 innings.

The Conies had 9 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings, but were just 1 for 10 with RISP, leaving 9 on base. Dock Doyle (0 for 3, BB, K, .267), Sam Honeck (0 for 3, BB, K, .295) and John Servidio (0 for 4, K, .189) took 0-fers, while Luis Rivera busted out of a 5 for 27 slump, with a perfect 3 for 3, BB game. Luis Nieves (2) also had a multi hit game.
