Eric Niesen had another very poor outing in Binghamton, his 4th in 6 starts, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs while walking 3 in 4 innings, but it was Edgar Alfonzo taking the loss after surrendering 2 runs on 3 hits and a walk in 1.1 innings. Every Met pitcher gave up runs tonight, overall surrendering 17 hits and 4 walks.

The Mets had 12 hits and 3 walks themselves, while going 6 for 11 (.556) with RISP, leaving 10 on base. Jon Malo, Josh Petersen, and Caleb Stewart had multi hit games, while Emmanuel Garcia (0 for 3, 2 runs, BB, K, .274) took the only 0-fer for the Mets.

Chris Schwinden was in command today, giving up just a run on 5 hits in 7 innings for his 6th win, Rhiner Cruz picked up his 15th save, a 5 out effort, despite giving up a run on a hit and 2 walks. He came in with the bases loaded in the 8th and didn’t allow any of those runs to score.

The Gnats offense garnered 10 hits and a walk, while going 1 for 8 (.125) with RISP and leaving 5 on base. Eric Campbell had a HUGE night going 4 for 4 with a double, homer and 2 RBI, his was the only multi hit effort, while Josh Satin (0 for 4, K, .295), and Joey August (0 for 3, K, .100) took the only 0-fers.

The Conies were 0 for 6 with RISP and left 4 on base. Dock Doyle (1 for 4, .244), Ralph Henriquez (1 for 3, run, 3b, .214), and Luis Rivera (1 for 2, run, 2b, RBI, BB, .361) had the hits for the Conies, everyone else took 0-fers.

The Cyclones took a 2-0 lead to the last of the 6th, but Jim Fuller gave up 1 in the 6th and 2 in the 7th to take his first loss of the season, his ERA went from 0.00 to 1.08 in the loss.

The Conies had 5 hits and 3 walks in the nightcap of the twinighter, while going a pathetic 0 for 8 with RISP, leaving 5 on base. John Servidio (0 for 4, .210), Matt Gaski (0 for 2, BB, K, .235), Luis Rivera (0 for 1, run, 2 BBs, .350), and Luis Nieves (0 for 3, .169) all took 0-fers.

The KMets pitching staff is atrocious, fortunately, it appears every other staff in the Appy League is equally brutal. The Mets had 9 hits and drew 4 walks, while going 3 for 9 with RISP and leaving 4 on base. Alonzo Harris and Ryan Mollica had 3 hit games, while Joe Bonfe (0 for 3, run, RBI, BB, 2 Ks, .338), John Semel (0 for 4, .255), Kurt Steinhauer (0 for 2, run, .000) and Gerad Mochizuki (0 for 2, run, RBI, .271) took 0-fers.

Three of the four Met pitchers gave up multiple runs, but Jonathan White, who gave up 6 hits and 4 runs in 5 innings, picked up a cheap win thanks to his offense. Oscar Melendez and Luis Rojas gave up 5 runs in 2.1 innings, before Travis Babin pitched 1.2 scoreless to pick up his 3rd save.
