I thought I would do something special in honor of Fathers Day and take a look at all those fathers and sons that have played in the Major League’s and see if I could field a decent team. I think I did pretty good, and I was surprised to see how common it really was for fathers and sons to play in a game.

Great list. Wuld like to see if you can filed a team with the sons. Also Where is Gus Bell? Buddy can make both lists, his son would be a 3rd generation player. Any Idea how many 3rd generation players we have had or still have?
I only included the dads and if it came down to a tie between two guys, I took the one who played with the Mets.
Randy Hundley and Sandy Alomar were known more for their gloves than their bats, but Sandy was and still is a Met.
Floyd Bannister and his 4+ ERA does not crack my starting five.
Felipe Alou could have edged Hal McRae, buy I gave McRae the edge.
Rose made the list at 2B more because the alternatives were so bad! lol
