The Mets had been losing 2 out of 3 for series after series until the Cards came to Citi. You can't be competitive if you're playing .333 ball for extended periods. Hopefully, the Cards series represents a genuine change in performance. With the Cards series, the fundamanetal play was strong almost error free and with no base running blunders and with sound mgmt for the first time in a long time. If Jerry can keep performance up to what was achieved with the Cards, I will agree with you. But for now, I think the verdict on Jerry still needs to be confirmed with consistency. He is showing why he was previously Manager of the Year and his value keeps increasing every day, is really sad that we as fans are watching one of baseball finest manager and we are not appreciating it... JMan is finlly evening out the work load across the Bullpen and now they're getting the job done. FMart is starting to look like a vet in CF. Alternating the catchers is keeping them rested and paying dividends in offensive contribution. David's BA is going out of sight and the RBI's can't be far behind. The rotation is hanging in tough even with 2 guys out of commission. Can we keep this formula working especially through the Yanks series? I guess it's true: Ya Gotta Believe!
