Mets Win 6-1 On A Hernandez Complete Game Victory
The Mets got help from technology…again, as they took game one against the Nationals at home. The Mets look to keep on a winning streak as Livan Hernandez looks to get his fourth win as he is 3-1 with a 4.93 ERA. The Mets will go up against the Nationals’ rookie pitcher Craig Stammen who is 0-0 with a 5.68 ERA. Hernandez lost his first game against the Nationals in 2006, but since then he’s posted a 3.34 ERA while winning five straight starts against them.

Awesome game! You threw me off at the start of your recap and I thought it was the wrong recap. Livan Hernandez was absolutely spectacular tonight, and how ironic that out 5th starter is the first pitcher to not only pitch the 8th but actually toss the complete game. Outstanding. And as for Sheffield, what can I say, the guys has been unbelievable. Lets Go Mets!
Congratulations Livan! Keep sluggin’ Sheff! Get Well Quick Beltran!
I loving this scoring late trend. I love seeing a complete game, lasteyar we only had two, both by Santana in Septemeber. Nice to see another pitcher stepping up and following the leader’s example. Good game but all those hit batters and almost-hit-batters! Crazy!
