Ian Snell Needs Some Serious Therapy

While reading a recap of yesterday’s game from Associated Press, I read something that caught me completely by surprise.

Apparently, after the game Ian Snell spoke with reporters and pretty much accused Wright of somehow stealing signs.

Here is the way AP tells it,

“They hit some good pitches. I found out later they had our signs,” said Snell, who lost for the fifth time in seven starts. “That’s baseball – there’s nothing wrong with it.”

Snell said he thinks David Wright may have had the signs when he fouled off a couple of good pitches in the fourth inning, when New York scored three times to take a 3-2 lead.

“Like he was expecting them,” Snell said.

I’m actually quite taken back by his remarks, especially when he said “he found out later they had our signs”.

How did he find out, who told him?

It sounds like a bunch of sour grapes to me.

Dude!!! You have a lifetime 4.66 ERA… You had a 4.50 ERA coming into the game… You pitched six innings on Sunday and gave up three runs which adds up to a 4.50 ERA…

You are what you are!

The Mets didn’t steal any signs from you…

Your career just happens to be suffering from a severe case of suckage!
