Heilman Being Heilman
As the Mets venture South to Philly this weekend following a less-than-stellar beginning to their season, I thought it might brighten some peoples’ day by pointing out what occurred last night in Chicago.
The Cubs and Marlins were locked in a 2-2 tie going into the 10th.
In walks Aaron Heilman. Heilman did not record an out, and gave up three hits, two walks and six runs. Flashbacks anyone?
Up until last night, Heilman was actually pitching well, with an 0.82 ERA. Unfortunately, as all of us Mets fans know, he’s always one pitch from disaster on the mound.
Carry on wayward son.

LOL don’t worry, when he faces the Mets this year he will completely shut us down like Heath Bell did LOL.
Dude, I watched it and enjoyed.
A testament to my current pathetic condition as a Mets fan
I dont miss him and his tight pants at all, no way. (But I guess thats a given for any Mets fan lol)
The only thing I miss about Heilman is him coming into the game to the Clash’s London Calling.
i agree, Heilman will probably get an emergency start against the Mets and toss a no hitter
Why would you post this with intent to emarrass him? And more than often he was pretty good with the Mets. Had an excellent 2006 a good 2007 witha shaky end and a good mid-May – September in 2008. I’m orry if you think relievers are suppose to be perfect. Don’t tell me you expect(ed) Putz and K-Rod and the other guys to be perfect, because that is not baseball, and it would be boring.
God, we are an insensitive lot!
I dunno, something about all of those days that that Heilboy ruined for me…
i actually always liked heilman. i still do. and while i supported his leaving the mets- he needed a change of scenery- i hope that he continues to do well in chicago.
just because we suck right now doesn’t mean we have to rag on other teams.
except the phillies. they can suck it.
but aside from them, i don’t relish the misfortune of anyone.
Cubs fans will feel the pain that we went through the last two years of Heilman meltdowns.
